The Creative Writer (Freelance) acts as a key member of a multi-disciplinary project team with the focus of creating compelling written documentation of the work, business concepts and ideas that will be used for a variety of internal and external applications.  They will work collaboratively with creative and technical teams to develop a variety of written formulations that articulate project stories and innovation ideas.




  • Analyze, strategize, plan, coordinate, author, and oversee the completion of a major document
  • Create high-quality written content that engages and resonates with our audience and matches our intended voice and style
  • Attend executive level and project meetings to capture and develop compelling documents, messaging, and project-related copy
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary creative and technical team
  • Write new creative and persuasive content
  • Take on ad-hoc writing, marketing, and creative tasks
  • Contribute ideas on improving existing messaging and content
  • All other duties as assigned


The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be self-directed while collaborating closely with a very diverse team.  Key qualifications include:


  • 5+ years experience in writing and editing
  • BS/BA in Advertising, Marketing, English, Public Relations or other relevant field preferred
  • Proven excellence in writing, editing, and research skills
  • Proven ability to develop compelling written content
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to write in-depth, analytical articles and effective marketing materials
  • Ability to produce high-quality work on deadline while managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
  • Must be flexible and able to accept rapid changes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to provide portfolio or samples of previous writing


  • Experience in fields dealing with Design and/or Technology
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign

This is a short-term project position through the end of November.
