  • Overview


    The Help Desk Administrator will provide support and administration to Applied Minds employees & infrastructure, which includes monitoring and managing incoming help desk requests, maintaining inventory, setting up new users, maintaining network equipment & servers and assisting the IT team with projects as needed.



    • Manage IT inventory, ordering, and deployment of hardware and software

    • Install and maintain PC and Mac desktop and laptop hardware and software

    • Identify user needs, resolving technical issues and provide appropriate user training

    • Troubleshoot issues for internal and remote users

    • Manage Active Directory User Accounts, Exchange Online Mailboxes, and end user computing environments

    • Assist with meeting room AV, presentations, and video conferences

    • Manage VoIP Phones

    • Monitor system use, performance, device capacities and status

    • Manage mobile devices, all operating systems

    • Manage the add/delete/change process for our facility security access system

    • Assist with network management using Cisco & Meraki hardware

    • Assist with Windows & Linux servers as needed

    • Assist with cloud applications & infrastructure on Office 365 & Amazon Web Services EC2

    • Assist with maintaining and updating documentation and procedures as needed

    • All other duties as assigned


    • 1-3 years help desk experience in a mixed computing environment

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field a plus

    • Experience troubleshooting PC, Mac, Android and iOS issues

    • Technical experience with desktop operating systems (Windows, OSX, & Linux)

    • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server

    • Understanding of networking fundamentals: VPN, firewalls, routing, & switching

    • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple priorities proactively and effectively
