Technical Writer

Job Location US-CA-Burbank


We are seeking a Technical Writer who will be a key member of all multidisciplinary project teams with a focus on creating compelling written documentation of the work and ideas that will be used for a variety of internal and external applications.  This individual will work collaboratively with creative and project teams to develop a variety of written formulations that articulate project stories and innovation ideas.


  • Author and execute the completion of technical reports, project reports, technical white papers, and vision documents and proposals
  • Create high-quality written content that engages and resonates with our audience and is aligned with our intended voice and style
  • Attend executive level and project meetings to capture and develop compelling documents, messaging, and project-related documents
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary creative and technical team
  • Contribute ideas on improving existing messaging and content
  • All other duties as assigned




The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be self-directed while collaborating closely with a very diverse team.  Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years experience in technical writing and editing
  • 3+ years experience in a hands-on STEM role
  • Proven excellence in writing, editing, and research skills
  • Proven ability to develop compelling written content
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to write in-depth, analytical articles and effective marketing materials
  • Ability to produce high-quality work on deadline while managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
  • Must be flexible and able to accept rapid changes
  • Must be able to provide portfolio or samples of previous writing


  • Experience with the military
  • Experience in fields dealing with Engineering and/or Production
  • Experience in fields dealing with Design and/or Technology
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign
